I’m not one for leaving comments, but I felt compelled after my experience at River Oaks. Unreal. The course at Prestwick Country Club was something else, thought I was ready for those par-3 holes, but boy, they were tricky (still fun though)! Do yourself a favor and book a trip here.
Prepping for my Myrtle Beach trip and this blog post got me even more pumped up. Can’t wait to tackle the course at Arrowhead Country Club! To all those who’ve been, any particular hole to watch out for? Fingers crossed for a birdie-filled vacation.
Great review, thanks for the info! Staying within a short drive of the courses would be a dream. I’ve been to the River Oaks Golf Plantation a few times and it’s always a pleasure. The wide fairways are forgiving, but the large greens can be a beast if your putting game isn’t on. I’m curious, though, any local golf events or golf clinics being conducted at these clubs? Would love to hone my skills further.
Does anyone know if River Oaks Resort offers professional coaching or golf lessons? Heading over in a month and I feel my swing could do with a little bit of professional help. Also, curious to know more about River Oaks Golf plantation. How challenging would it be for a beginner? Thanks in advance.
Agreed, Myrtle Beach is a sweet spot for us golfers. The variety of challenges on the different golf courses keep you on your toes. And River Oaks Resort, nice! Spacious, modern and close to all the action – what’s not to love? Well, where’s the mention of the on-site eatery options? I mean, what’s golf without a good clubhouse sandwich, right?:)
Just got back from River Oaks Resort. Absolute paradise for golf lovers. The courses were incredibly well-maintained and top-notch challenging. The resort was pretty comfortable too. If you’re serious about golf, you gotta check this place out.
