Located in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center is a golfer’s paradise. With three championship golf courses on site, it’s no wonder why this resort has become a favorite destination for golf enthusiasts from across the country.
The resort’s three courses were designed by some of the biggest names in golf course architecture – Dan Maples, Rees Jones, and Willard Byrd – and each offers a unique playing experience. The Maples Course, named after its designer, features wide fairways and large greens, making it a great option for golfers of all skill levels. The Jones Course, which was redesigned by Rees Jones in 1990, is known for its challenging layout and scenic views of the nearby Intracoastal Waterway. And the Byrd Course, which was designed by Willard Byrd and opened in 1990, features narrow fairways and strategically placed bunkers, making it a true test of a golfer’s skill.
But Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center isn’t just a great destination for golfers – it’s also a fantastic place to stay. The resort offers a variety of accommodations, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas that are perfect for families or groups of friends. Each villa features a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living area, and a private balcony or patio with views of the golf courses or the resort’s beautiful gardens.
In addition to its golf courses and accommodations, Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center also offers a wide range of amenities and activities to keep guests entertained. The resort’s two outdoor pools and indoor pool are perfect for a relaxing swim, while the fitness center and tennis courts are great options for those looking to stay active. And if you’re looking to unwind after a long day on the golf course or exploring the area, the resort’s spa offers a variety of treatments and services to help you relax and rejuvenate.
But perhaps one of the best things about Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center is its location. The resort is just a short drive from Myrtle Beach, which is known for its beautiful beaches, great shopping, and fantastic dining options. And if you’re looking to explore the area’s natural beauty, the nearby Sunset Beach and Bird Island Coastal Reserve are both great options for hiking, biking, or just soaking up the sun.
Overall, if you’re looking for a great golf resort that offers a variety of amenities, activities, and accommodations, Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center is definitely worth checking out. With its three championship golf courses, beautiful villas, and wide range of amenities, it’s a fantastic destination for golfers and non-golfers alike.
The Sea Trail resort is definitely on my golf bucket list. Has anyone tried the spa? With three courses to conquer, I want to make sure there’s plenty of relaxation to balance out all the challenges on the course! And does the resort offer any dining options? After a long day of golfing, the last thing I want to do is cook.
Just got back from a week at Sea Trails. The Maples was a pleasure, and the greens were in great condition despite the recent heat. I found the Jones course surprisingly challenging, really makes you think about your shots on a different level. And the Byrd – wow, those narrow fairways separated the men from the boys! I can see why this resort is a favorite among the golf community.
